Report by Captain Superintendent of Police-
I have the honor to report that the tables enclosed are not applicable to this Colony. Pack transport is effected by coolies who carry between 50 to 60 lbs. all day. There are about 6000 of these men in the Colony. There are also 2000 coolies accustomed to carry sedan chairs. 4 coolies would carry a man weighing 12 stone, twenty miles a day.
